10 easy Instagram Reel Ideas without showing your face
Do you struggle with taking photos, and videos such as Instagram reels of yourself, especially for Instagram? I used to be the same way. I would avoid taking photos and videos of myself as much as possible and over time, I gain the confidence to show my face without fear of judgment.
We all have our own personal struggles and confidence issues especially when it comes to posting on social media. When I started posting more frequently on Instagram, I noticed the few times I did post a photo of my face or of myself in general, my engagement increased because I grew a personal connection with my audience.
My content was relatable to them and they felt as if they could relate to my face-to-face. But…it took me a long time to get to be able to post photographs and videos of myself on Instagram.

In order for me to overcome my fear, again this is different for everyone, I would often times photograph or record my side profile, hands in front of my face, etc. Small steps such as these helped me post and get comfortable with showing my face to the world. I was scared, nervous, and in fear of judgment but sadly, we face that every day.
After realizing that I am perfect the way I am, with wrinkles, grey hair, a messy room, and not being “Instagram perfect,” I became confident in myself and who I am…and I am pretty great! And so are you.
Understanding this struggle, it does take time to overcome this fear but in the meantime, don’t let this stop you from posting content. Here are some examples of photos and videos where you can create content without showing your face.
